A YEAR OF
SACRED LIVING
A Year-Long Initiation Into Living With the Rhythms of the Natural World
with Tia Tuenge
Cultural Author, Teacher, Steward
This is a year-long initiation into lived rhythm and coherence — into how humans once lived in meaningful relation to time, Earth, body, and community. It is not a curriculum to complete, but a life to practice. Not a set of tools to master, but a worldview to inhabit. Not productivity repackaged as wellness, but an invitation to remember what your body already knows: that you belong to the seasons, the cycles, the intelligence of the living world. Over the course of a year — moving through spring's emergence, summer's expansion, fall's reflection, and winter's deep listening — you'll be guided season by season into practices that orient you differently. Not toward optimization, but toward attunement. Not toward control, but toward collaboration with forces older and wiser than our individual wills. This is for those who sense that the old stories are unraveling. For those ready to live by a different calendar. For those willing to let a year teach them what no course ever could.
Spring Session begins September 20, 2026
Spring is the season of emergence —
life moves again, emerging, clarifying, taking form
This work is for those who sense something essential is missing from modern life — and who are ready to practice differently.
You might be someone who:
Senses that the stories we've inherited about progress, productivity, and success are crumbling
Craves depth over speed, practice over performance, coherence over optimization
Is drawn to seasonal wisdom not as a 'nice idea' but as a necessary orientation
Wants to live in right relationship with the Earth — not as a consumer, but as kin
Is willing to spend a full year learning what the seasons have to teach
Understands that transformation happens through sustained practice, not weekend workshops
Is ready for work that asks something of you — presence, commitment, willingness to unlearn This is not for those seeking quick fixes, life hacks, or surface-level 'self-care.'
This is for those ready to orient their lives around something older, truer,
and more trustworthy than the culture of urgency.
A YEAR-LONG JOURNEY
Through the Seasons of Practice
This is not a course with modules to complete. It is a year-long apprenticeship to time itself. You will move through the wheel of the year — spring, summer, fall, winter — not as a metaphor, but as a living practice. Each season brings its own teachings, its own invitations, its own intelligence. You will learn to listen: to what your body needs as the light changes, to what the Earth is doing beneath your feet, to the old patterns asking to be released and the new ones waiting to take root. You will practice across four dimensions of sacred living — mind, body, spirit, and space — not as separate categories, but as interwoven ways of being present to what is. And you will do this in community, with others who are also learning to live by the rhythms of the world rather than the demands of the culture.

What We're Addressing
Most of us were raised in a culture that severed our connection to the rhythms that sustained human life for millennia. We live by artificial time — the relentless pace of productivity, the tyranny of the to-do list, the pressure to optimize every moment.
This disconnection shows up everywhere:
-
In bodies that have forgotten how to rest when winter asks for stillness.
-
In minds conditioned to consume information rather than cultivate wisdom.
-
In homes that feel like staging grounds for the next task, not sanctuaries for living.
-
In a sense of isolation, even when surrounded by people — because true community requires shared rhythm and ritual.
-
In the grief of watching the Earth suffer while feeling powerless to respond.
-
In the exhaustion of living against our own nature.
Sacred Living is not about fixing these problems with better habits or stronger willpower. It's about remembering a different way — one your ancestors knew, one the Earth still practices, one your body is longing to return to.
This is about cultural repair, ecological relationship, and the restoration of your birthright: to live in harmony with the world you are part of.
Aligning Your Life with the Sacred Rhythms of Nature
Mind: Thinking With the Seasons
Your thoughts are shaped by the culture you swim in — and that culture has trained you to think linearly, urgently, acquisitively. Sacred Living invites a different kind of thinking. You'll learn to align your mental rhythms with seasonal intelligence: the clarity of spring, the expansiveness of summer, the discernment of fall, the stillness of winter. Not as metaphor, but as embodied practice. Through mindfulness, intention-setting, seasonal inquiry, and cultural critique, you'll begin to think with the Earth instead of against it — cultivating a mind that serves wisdom, not just productivity.
Spirit: Deepening Your Connection to the Sacred
Spiritual practice is not separate from daily life. It is the way you meet the morning, the way you eat your food, the way you witness the moon. Through meditation, breathwork, ceremony, ritual, and practices of deep listening, you'll cultivate presence — not as an achievement, but as a way of being. You'll explore what it means to live in conversation with forces larger than yourself: the turning of the seasons, the intelligence of the Earth, the wisdom of your ancestors, the mystery that holds it all.
Body: Living Through the Senses
Your body is not a machine to optimize. It is a living being that knows how to rest in winter, awaken in spring, thrive in summer, and release in fall. Through seasonal nourishment, herbal wisdom, movement practices (yoga, breathwork, nature connection), and embodied ritual, you'll remember how to listen to what your body is asking for — not what the culture demands of it. This is about restoration, not performance. About coming home to your senses. About treating your body as sacred ground.
Environment: Sacred Space, Wherever You Are
Your home is not just shelter. It is the container for your life, the physical expression of your values, the place where you practice being human. You'll learn to create sacred space — not through expensive renovations, but through intention, ritual, and attunement. How to cleanse energy. How to invite the seasons inside. How to live more lightly on the Earth. And you'll practice extending this beyond your four walls — treating the Earth itself as home, as sanctuary, as the sacred space we all belong to.
Our Year Together
SPRING: We begin in Spring with Awakening & Renewal
As the Earth awakens, so do we. Spring invites us to plant the seeds of intention, embrace fresh beginnings, and align with the energy of renewal. Through sacred rituals, seasonal nourishment, and mindful practices, we harness the vitality of this fertile time to set the foundation for an abundant year.
SUMMER: Expansion & Radiance
With the sun at its peak, summer calls us to step fully into our power, radiance, and joy. This is a time for celebration, embodiment, and deep connection—both within ourselves and our community. We cultivate presence through movement, creativity, and practices that honor the light within and around us.
FALL: Reflection & Harvest
As the days shorten and nature turns inward, we gather the wisdom of our experiences. Fall is a season of reflection, gratitude, and release—an opportunity to integrate lessons, honor the harvest of our efforts, and realign with what truly nourishes us. We slow down, create sacred space, and embrace the beauty of transition.
WINTER: Stillness & Deep Listening
Winter beckons us into the depths of stillness, where profound transformation takes root. In this season of rest and introspection, we listen deeply to our inner wisdom, replenish our spirit, and dream into being what is to come. With rituals of rest, soulful storytelling, and gentle embodiment practices, we honor the sacred pause before the cycle begins anew.

BEGIN YOUR YEAR OF SACRED LIVING
Spring Session begins September 20th, 2026
Sacred Living unfolds as four seasonal passages over the course of a year. You may enter at any turning of the wheel — spring's awakening, summer's expansion, fall's reflection, or winter's deep listening. Each season is a three-month immersion: $700 per season, or $250/month.
This is not a program you complete. It is a practice you inhabit. A year is the minimum time needed to learn what the seasons have to teach — and many who complete their first year choose to deepen through another cycle. If you feel called to this work, trust that. Your body knows when it's time to come home.

I TEACH WHAT I'VE LIVED
For much of my early life, I felt untethered — disconnected from my body, my truth, my purpose. Becoming a mother cracked me open and set me on a path of deep healing: yoga, plant medicine, ritual, the wisdom of women's circles. But it wasn't until I began studying the long arc of cultural history — how we lost our connection to the Earth, to cyclical time, to partnership ways of being — that I understood my personal healing was inseparable from cultural repair.
Now, through Art of Sacred Living and my work as a cultural author, I help others remember what their bodies already know: that we belong to the seasons, the cycles, the living world. This work is my offering — rooted in decades of practice, study, and lived experience.
THE LINEAGE OF THIS WORK
The Art of Sacred Living is rooted in the deep-time wisdom of those who have mapped the path before us. Our seasonal journey is informed by the scholarship and vision of:
-
Marija Gimbutas: For her "archaeomythology" and her rediscovery of Old Europe, providing the symbolic language of a civilization that lived in harmony with the Great Mother.
-
Riane Eisler: For her foundational work on partnership models and the "Caring Economy," showing us that a world based on mutual respect rather than domination is our true heritage.
-
Merlin Stone: For When God Was a Woman, her landmark exploration into the suppression of women’s rites and the long history of the Sacred Feminine in the Near and Middle East.
-
Monica Sjöö & Barbara Mor: For The Great Cosmic Mother, a radical and sweeping synthesis of art, politics, and spirituality that centers the female body as a sacred echo of the Earth’s own cycles.
-
James Mellaart: The archaeologist whose 1960s discovery of the Neolithic city of Çatalhöyük provided the world with the first visual evidence of a complex, goddess-centered society that flourished for millennia without war.
These voices serve as our intellectual and spiritual bedrock, helping us bridge ancient wisdom with the practical art of modern living.
