Reflect, choose a word of the year, set your intentions, make a vision board to inspire and support.
There’s no better way to start off a new year than with those you love, spending the evening together in a meaningful way.
This year I will be celebrating NYE with my quarantine crew, aka QC and we will be ringing in the new year with sacred circle, ceremony and vision boarding rather than a traditional NYE party, there might be a little champagne... If ever there was a year to change things up, this is it!
All you need to create your own sacred living new year’s eve gathering is your QC (or yourself if you’re hang’n on your own), your journal, tissue paper, a flame proof bowl, poster board, magazines that inspire you, a glue stick, and scissors. If you really want to go crazy print out the Magical Planner.
TAKE SOME TIME TO REFLECT
Start off with these reflection inspiring journal prompts:
· What was the most significant thing that happened to you in 2020?
· How did this impact your life?
· What lessons did you learn in 2020?
· Who supported you and your dreams in 2020?
· What are you most proud of in 2020?
· What struggles did you have to overcome?
· What did you learn from your struggle(s)?
· What do you want to let go of?
· Who do you need to forgive?
Next take a few moments to write down on a small piece of tissue paper everything you want to release. When you feel finished, take a moment and ask your unseen friends, ancestors, or whoever/whatever higher spirit the speaks to you, to release what no longer serves you through cleansing fire. Then light your tissue and burn (safely!) away the old to make way for the new.
I love to begin by choosing a Word for the year. This year my word is build, I chose it a few weeks ago and I have to tell you the Universe has already started presenting opportunities that are aligned with my word. It really is magical to experience. So why not choose a word? There’s a whole section on choosing a word of the year in the Magical Planner with huge selection of possible words.
Intention setting time. It’s a brand new year and the possibilities are endless. How do you want 2021 to feel and flow? What do you want to create for yourself? You may want to spend some time with these journal prompts:
· How do I want to feel in 2021?
· What do I want to experience...?
· Things that give me energy...
· What does my heart desire...?
· What do I want to learn in 2021?
· Dreams I’d like to manifest this year..
· People who support my dreams...
· What does support look and feel like?
I love making vision boards, I find it super inspiring. There are several ways to go about it, you can have a very specific idea and try to find images to support that, or my preferred method, flipping through magazines tearing out images that inspire me. When I feel like I have enough to fill my board I start to arrange them until the board is covered, then I start gluing. Note that they never end up exactly as they did in the preliminary layout, that’s okay. Just have fun with this. When you’re finished gluing, activate your vision board by writing some affirmations that support your intentions for the year on the back of the board.
Voilà! Your year is off to a beautiful start. Keep moving in the direction of your dreams!
