Inspiration for your weekend - BEAUTY
Hello beautiful soul,
This weekend I am leaving sunny Southern California behind and heading to NYC. It’s been unseasonable hot here, 87* fahrenheit on Monday way too hot for the middle of winter and a little bit spooky! I’m looking forward to some winter weather.
I will be attending the NY Now, where I hope to be inspired.
I thought I’d share some inspiration with you for the weekend.
Galia Alena, visual poet and creator extraordinaire is hosting a new workshop starting in March, 13 mOOns Sacred Arts. I’m definitely signing up. I recommend exploring her website just for inspiration even if you’re not interested in the workshop. TOTAL EYE CANDY. The woman is oozing creativity. I follow her on Instagram, her feed is stunning.
Since this weekend’s theme is beauty I’m including two inspiring audios: My all time favorite OnBeing interview with mystic poet John O’Donahue, The Inner Landscape of Beauty. I’ve listened to this so many times and it never ceases to touch me deep in my soul.
What is Beauty? TED speakers conjure up beauty both ancient and modern, and suggest reasons why humans are hardwired to crave and respond to beauty.
I don’t know how I discovered Me & Orla but it’s visual honey. Sara takes beautiful photos and has inspired me to up my game. She’s something of an Instagram expert, so much so that she’s been able to turn her online presence into a business enabling her to quit her day job. I think many people have a dream to quit their day jobs for something that speaks more to their soul. If you sign up for her newsletter she generously shares 7 days to a better Instagram online workshop.
